3. Show the picture of Peppa’s picnic.T: What drinks do they have?Ss: juice, milk, water.T: What food do they have?Ss: eggs, bread, fish, cake, rice.
Step 2: Presentation1. Demonstrate the picture of ‘Let’s talk’ T: Wu Yifan, John and Chen Jie are having a picnic, too. What do they have for the picnic? Ss: They have eggs, water, juice, cake and bread T: What would Wu Binbin like? Now let’s watch the video and try to answer it. Ss: Wu Binbin would like some water. T: Yes! Who helped to deliver the water bottle? Ss: John. T: In order to thank John, what does Wu Binbin say? Ss: Thank you. T: What did John answer? Ss: You’re welcome.
2. Language points Summarize the way to express thanks: Thanks, thank you, thank you very much. And their answers: You’re welcome.
3. Listen and repeat Let students read the dialogue after the recording and pay attention to the pronunciation and the intonation.
