After the flood(洪水), my family went back home. Almost all the things in our house were broken by the flood. We put the broken things on the side of the road in front of our house and then waited for the people who would carry them away by truck.

The weather was fine, but I felt sad. I wouldn’t see those toys, clothes, furniture or appliances such as the washing machine and TV set any more. So as I heard the sound of the truck coming nearer and nearer, I became sadder and sadder.

My mother and I quickly went through the things in the house to make sure there wasn’t anything that we could save. Then I saw my toboggan (平底雪橇). It was also broken. I pulled it out and put my bands on it.
