While she was driving 55 miles per hur, a driver stpping at a gas statin decided t pull ut in frnt f her. Mary never had a chance t stp. Smewhere between 5~10 miles per hur, they cllided（碰撞）. As sn as she knew they were ging t cllide, she clsed her eyes. Glimpses f her life passed befre her eyes.
Mary's bdy was s sre. When she tried t pen the dr, she culdn't. She tried t call 911, but she culdn't get her phne turned n. N timely assistance at all. T make matters wrse, her ft was stuck under the gas pedal. She was thankful that the kids were crying in the back but they were in gd cnditin. Lking at the frnt f the car, she fund it smking. She thught, “Oh, great. It's ging t blw up. I'm ging t die tday. ” Luckily, a man came ver t her and asked her if she was all right. Mary said, “N, my car dr and my left ft are stuck. I can't get ut. ” The man tried t call 911 fr her. He then shut her car ff. He went arund t the ther side t free her left ft. T get her ft ut, he had t take her she ff.
He then tld her, “This culd hurt. ” He wasn't kidding. He had t twist her ft in such an awkward psitin t get it ut. After getting it ut, he thught, “What's taking the emergency crew s lng?” Watching the car smke, he decided that he culdn't affrd t wait fr them. He pulled her ut thrugh the passenger side t the side f the rad.
