一、描述恐惧
（一）通过面部表情
1.He turned back, with his eyes full of horror.
他转过身来，眼里充满着恐惧。
2.Her face turned pale and she stood there tongue-tied.
她脸色苍白地站在那里，舌头打结。
3.Jim froze with shock, unable to utter a single word.
吉姆震惊地僵住了，一个字也说不出来。
4.Her voice was shaking despite all her efforts to control it.
尽管她竭力控制声音，但声音还是在颤抖。
通过肢体动作
1.I bowed my head timidly and dared not to look at my father’s cloudy face.
我胆怯地低着头，不敢看爸爸那张阴云密布的脸。
2.A fit of dizziness came over her, and she hardly had the strength to stand firm.
一阵眩晕袭来，她几乎没有力气站稳。
3.Linda's throat tightened with fear when that dog jumped out, too frightened to move an inch.
琳达看见狗跳出来时吓得喉咙哽住了，在黑暗中吓得一步也不敢动。
4.As I struggled my feet toward the elevator, I trembled all over and my palms were sweating.
当我走向电梯时，浑身发抖，手心冒汗。
（二）通过心理活动
1.Her heart beat so violently that she felt nearly suffocated.
她的心跳得厉害，几乎窒息而死。
2.John almost felt his blood frozen when he saw what was happening around.
当约翰看到周围发生的一切，他觉得血液几乎凝固了。
3.The horrible scene made my blood run cold and struck fear into my heart.
那可怕的场面使我毛骨悚然，胆战心惊。
4.He caught a glimpse of the fierce eyes and hungry look of the wolf by the door, a cold feeling creeping over his heart and making him tremble all over.
他瞥了一眼门口那只狼凶狠的眼神和饥饿的表情，一股寒流在心头蔓延开来，使他浑身发抖。
二、描写喜悦
（一）通过面部表情
1.The smile on her face shone like a diamond.
她脸上的笑容像钻石一样闪闪发光。
2.She nodded, with a big smile spreading across her cheek.
她点点头，脸上露出灿烂的笑容。
3.Her face lit up /brightened /glowed when I gave her the gift.
我给她礼物时，她的脸上焕发出了光彩。
4.His eyes shone / beamed / twinkled with joy.
他的眼睛闪耀着喜悦。
5.He could hardly wait to share his trip, eyes twinkling and face glowing with delight.
他迫不及待地讲述起他的旅程，双眸闪闪发亮，脸上洋溢着喜悦。
（二）通过肢体动作
1.Knowing that she had won the first prize, she almost jumped up and down with tears clouding her eyes.
知道自己得了一等奖，她跳上跳下，泪水蒙住了眼睛。
2.She was overflowing with happiness, humming and skipping in the forest like a bird.
她开心得像小鸟一样在森林里哼唱跳跃。
3.Unable to contain his joy and excitement, he threw himself into my arms, murmuring, “Thank you, dear mum.” 不能抑制住他的高兴和激动，他一下子扑到我的怀里，喃喃道：“妈妈，辛苦了。”
4.She felt a wave of pleasure and warmth run through her whole body, which made her dance for joy, feeling over the moon.

5.Then, suddenly, all of the young people jumped up from their seats, screaming and shouting and crying, doing small dances of joy.

1.My heart is as sweet as honey.

3.Her face is red, with excitement in the heart, as a deer jumping with joy.
她激动得满脸通红，心里像有只小鹿欢乐地蹦跳。
4.So thrilled was she at the good news that she felt as if on top of the world.
听到这个好消息，她非常激动，觉得自己好像在世界之巅。
5.That praise filled my heart with sweet joy; the strangers voice seemed more beautiful than Mozart’s music, and I directed a swift look of gratitude toward his gold glasses.
