Lesson 4

【学习目标】

1．能够运用方位介词（prepositions of place）来描述事物的方位。

2．能够在真实情况下熟练运用基数词（cardinal numbers），如，电话号码，金钱的数目。

【学习重难点】

正确使用基数词谈论号码、数量、尺寸、面积等话题。

【学习过程】

一、方位介词（propositions of place）

1．between（…and…）      在两者之间

在我和他之间___________________

在我的阳台和他的阳台之间__________________________

他们正在观看一场中美之间的足球比赛吗？

2．above / over / on

“above”   笼统地表示“在…的上方”，或“高于某物，但不一定在正上方”

We are flying above the clouds.

“over”    在某物的垂直正上方

There is a bridge over the river.

on 表示两物表面接触，一物在另一物的上面

There is a lamp on the table.

注： “above”的反义词是 “below”； “over”的反义词是 “under”

You can find the ball under your seat.

The sun goes down below the horizon.

3．in front of…与…behind

in front of…….在……前面，与 “behind”相对

There are some trees in front of the garden.

The boy is hiding behind a big tree.

4．beside与 next to      同义词    “紧挨着”，  在……旁边

next to 比 beside 离得更近

They always take a walk beside the lake after supper.

5．opposite    在……对面

The library is opposite the bank.

二、基数词（cardinal numbers）

1．结合“课前预习”自主归纳：

13—19   以“teen”结尾

30，40，50，60，70，80，90    以 “ty”结尾

注：4 four     14 fourteen    40 forty 90    ninety

2．数字的读法：

300    three hundred   （不能用复数）

3．Phone numbers 的表达法：

电话号码的读法是将每一个数字读成基数词，四个数字停顿，然后再读四个数字。当两个相同的数字出现在一起时，读成“double+该数字”。

注：门牌号码的读法与电话号码相同。
