There are many theme parks in Florida. These amusement parks are designed for kids big and small and have plenty to offer adults, too.
Magic Kingdom
Orlando is the center of theme parks in Florida. Of all the parks, no trip to Orlando would be complete without a visit to Magic Kingdom. The center of Disney world, with Main Street USA and Cinderella's Castle, is here at Magic Kingdom. There are rides for kids of all ages as well as shopping and dining.
Epcot
After Magic Kingdom, the best-known theme park in Disney World is Epcot. This is a good place for curious kids who want to learn about the planets, the stars, and the workings of the human body. The good and wine festival is another big draw to Epcot.
Animal kingdom
When it comes to the top 4 Florida theme parks, Animal kingdom must be on the list. You may have had the chance to go to a zoo before, but Animal kingdom brings the concept of a zoo to new heights. Sure you can go on the safari (狩猎旅行), but there are also rides on different animals, even dinosaurs.

I have seen many parents wonder whether they did enough to create happy memories for their kids.My own experiences have taught me that it was the simple things my dad and I did together that I cared most about.
When I was growing up,I was not able to spend much time with my dad. He worked 70-90 hours a week for the majority of my childhood. He had a lot of responsibility trying to financially(经济) support our family, so he had to work himself into the ground.
But I remember there were summers when my dad and I on a random Saturday afternoon would go to the local park by our house and play soccer with some of his friends. It was fantastic! I loved playing sports and I loved being able to do that with him. After we were done playing, if I had been well-behaved recently then we would get ice cream at the ice cream shop on the way back home. Sometimes during the summer time, he would also come outside if I was shooting hoops on our driveway, and shoot baskets with me too. We would talk and relax for those few moments. It was amazing. Spending time with him was pure bliss(欣喜) for me.
It didn't happen as often as I would have liked for it too. Therefore, I made every opportunity count with him. But I never told him how happy it made me when he would come outside with me, because I never wanted him to feel bad that he had to work so much. I wanted to learn from him and I wanted him to teach me how to be a great man, just like him.
Years have flown by. I still vividly remember those simple things that we did together. I have learned that when I become a dad, I can't earn my children's love through gifts and money. Love is earned through the time I devote to them.

B. Because he thought it was difficult to express.
C.Because he wanted to give his father a surprise.
D. Because he didn't want to make his father feel guilty.
27. What does the author imply in this passage?
A. A good friendship is lifelong.
B. Spend more time with loved ones.
C.All parents love their children.
D.Teach by examples rather than words.

Technology use seems to be the new wave of addiction(上瘾) hitting people of all ages. Its extreme use can be compared to the use of drugs, which is called Plug-in Heroin.
The next time you’re in a crowded public place, look at the people around you. It’s hard to find someone who isn’t glued to the tiny screen, fingers moving at lightning speeds, texting their friends, emailing co-workers or listening to music. It may seem ridiculous that someone is that addicted to such a small object. I’ve seen people who seem to be at their wits’ end (不知所措) if their phone or iPad has been taken away, lost or left at home.
Some people may ask, “What’s wrong with technology use? It’s a way for people to communicate.” While this is true, the overuse of technology isn’t always appropriate in certain settings. Schools are becoming stricter about the use of cell phones, iPads and other electronics in classrooms. Various workplaces have signs hanging on their walls warning employees that“Cell phone use is not permitted ”or “Cell phones are forbidden.”
Electronics may be a way for people to communicate and stay in touch with each other, but the disadvantages may outweigh(超过) the benefits. People are losing the ability to hold face-to-face conversations with others. However, it’s hard to avoid electronics in this day and age because almost everything is turning into an electronic format. Books, originally meant for paper design, are now being transferred (转存) to electronic forms. Photo albums, and even yearbooks, can now be viewed via the internet. With this growing trend, future generations are bound to become even more addicted to technology.
Is there a cure for electronic addiction? Simply turning electronics off for an hour or two a day may help to an extent, but it will not completely rid electronic addiction. There only seems to be one cure left, and it may be the hardest: self control.
28.What is Plug-in Heroin?
A.The growing popularity of electronics.
B.The serious consequences of technology use.
C.The future possibility of technology development.
D.The unreasonable dependence on electronics.
29.The second paragraph is intended to ________.
A.prove electronics are harmful to people
B.show people’s addiction to electronics
C.persuade people to quit electronics
D.tell people it is ridiculous to use electronics
30.According to the passage, which of the following is true?
A.Cell phones can be used in all kinds of work situations.
B.Cell phones and iPads can be freely applied in schools.
C.Overuse of electronic products should be limited.
D.There’s nothing wrong with using technology, because it's the only way people communicate.
31.In the author's opinion, what is the best way to cure electronic addiction?
A.Turn off the electronics for an hour or two.
B.Cell phones are forbidden in the workplaces.
C.Be stricter about the use of cell phones, iPads and other electronics in classrooms.
D.Learn to control yourself.
D
Feeling down? Take a hike. A Stanford-led study finds that walking in nature could lead to a lower risk of depression. Specifically, the study, published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, found that people who walked for 90 minutes in a natural area, as opposed to participants who walked in a high-traffic urban(城市的) setting, showed decreased activity in a region of the brain related to a key factor in depression.
In the study, two groups of participants walked for 90 minutes, one in a grassland area with trees and bushes, the other along a traffic-heavy roadway. Before and after, the researchers measured heart and breathing rates, performed brain scans and had participants fill out questionnaires(问卷调查).
The researchers found little difference in physical conditions, but marked changes in the brain. Neural(神经) activity in the brain region which focuses on negative emotions decreased among participants who walked in nature compared with those who walked in an urban environment
This finding is exciting because it shows the influence of nature experience on an aspect of emotion regulation. This may help explain how nature makes us feel better.“ Reachable natural areas may be important for mental health in our rapidly urbanizing(都市化) world,” said co-author Gretchen Daily.“ Our findings can help inform the growing movement worldwide to make cities more livable, and to make nature more reachable to all who live in them.”
Urban planners and other policymakers need to understand the relationship between exposure to nature and mental health. It's sort of like an investment(投资)for the happiness and benefits of the public. “Nature is a necessity. We have to have it, just like we have to have clean air and clean water, " the authors write.
32. What benefit does walking in nature have according to the study?
A.It improves physical conditions.B. It reduces the risk of depression
C. It contributes to brain activities.D.It attracts people to walk further
33.What is paragraph 2 mainly about ?
A.The research process. B.The data collection.
C.The research goals. D.The data analysis.
34.What's the attitude of Gretchen Daily to their findings?
A.Confused. B.Unconcerned. C.Positive D.Cautious.
35. What do the authors expect urban planners to do?
A. Care for mental health. B.Focus on public benefits.
C. Speed up city development. D.Build more natural areas.

Superman, the first American superhero, appeared in 1938 with his cape (斗篷) and an “S” on his chest. Shortly after his appearance in comics, movie makers began trying to bring superheroes to the big screen. In the early 1940s, they made their first attempts to bring comic books to life. 36 Instead, they were made as 5 to 10 minutes episodes that would play at movie theaters before the main feature. Unlike today’s superhero films, these serials were aimed mainly at children.
This pattern changed in 1978 when Richard Donner made his first Superman film. First of all, it was aimed at an adult audience. 37 Second, the film’s special effects were very sophisticated (复杂的) for that time. Finally, the Superman film was a departure from earlier superhero films in that it used talented and famous Hollywood actors. 38
Yet another revolution in superhero movies came in the 1990’s and 2000’s, when Computer-Generated Image technology made it possible to recreate even more fantastic landscapes and more monstrous (可怕的) creatures. 39 These films were similar to Donners Superman in that they targeted an adult audience. Watchmen (2009), for instance, was released with an R rating, meaning that it was not intended for children under the age of 17.
40 Their success at the box office continues to attract big-name Hollywood actors and directors and higher production budgets, so lovers of action and adventure should have plenty of reasons to go to the movies for years to come.
A. Richard Donner was born on April 24, 1930 in New York City.
B. Most of these early superhero films were not full-length movies.
C. The film had a complex plot, dealing with themes like love and politics.
D. As superhero movies are popular every year, it is clear this trend is far from over.
E. Many films used such technology to make their characters seem terrifyingly real.
F. Some of those stars were Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder, and Gene Hackman.
G. The character of Superman was created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster.
