一、Pre-reading 1. Greeting 2. Leading-in Teachers show some pictures about the expression. Q1: what do these pictures stand for respectively? Let students discuss some difficulties that they might involved at the beginning of their senior high school life. Suggested Answers: I might have difficulty in getting along well with my new classmates, and I might feel confused on these subjects. 二、 While- reading 1. Ask students to scan the text and fill in the following table.
2. Then allow students to read carefully and grasp the main idea of each paragraph and write down these main ideas. Paragraph 1:____________________________ Paragraph 2_____________________________ Paragraph 3:____________________________ Paragraph 4_____________________________
3. Students could answer the following questions by summarizing main ideas above. Q1: Why did Han Jing feel anxious before school? Q2: How was her first maths class? 三、After-reading 1. Sum up what students have learned. 2. Q: What have you learned about Han Jing’s first impressions of her new school day? 3. What difficulties do Han Jing encounter during her first day in the senior high school? 4. Students work in groups to discuss and say about their first impressions of the new school day and some difficulties they encounter during the senior high school life.
四、Summary Teachers summarize the key points about the passage. |
