When my sn finally started schl arund the age f fur, I felt as thugh I’d been prmted (晋级)t the new psitin f Schl Parent. It was an unexpectedly challenging rle, ne withut additinal benefits, r a raise fr that matter.

As a huge mrning persn, I tried my best t ensure that schl mrnings remained calm and slw-paced. I prepared as much as pssible the night befre. But it still felt like we were in a rush, which I really hated.
The trick, I later discvered, was t cver up my feeling f anxiety. I chanted t myself “D nt rush him, n ne likes t be rushed” while helping him get thrugh his mrning rutine and tasks in a timely manner. Whatever frustratin (沮丧) I felt abut hw slw he was mving, I wuldn’t let him knw it. I even didn’t allw anyne in ur huse t say phrases like, “Hurry up, we’re ging t be late!” Our cmmn gal, was nt just t get ur sn ut the dr in time fr schl, but mre imprtantly prve that mrnings can be relaxed and enjyable, rather than a hrrible start t the day.
