Fr example, Americans say “truck” but the British say “lrry” and anther famus example is “gas” which is used in the United States but in England peple say “petrl”. If an American says “We have t put the baby dwn”, a British persn may be quite shcked because in England, t “put dwn” means t kill, fr example, a sick dg is put dwn.
