1.含有情态动词的被动语态的常见句式
(1)肯定句结构:主语+情态动词+be+及物动词的过去分词(+by+宾语).如:

情态动词表示推测的用法
1.对不同时态的推测
本单元主要学习情态动词must,can/culd,may/might表示推测的用法。表示推测时,要根据肯定、否定或疑问的不同句式选用不同的情态动词。
“情态动词+d sth.”表示对现在事物的推测;“情态动词+be ding sth.”表示对正在发生的事情的推测;“情态动词+have dne sth.”表示对过去或已完成事情的推测。如:
They must be in the classrm nw.他们现在一定在教室里。
Peter may/might have been hurt in the car accident.彼得可能在车祸中受了伤。
2.肯定推测
(1)must用于肯定句,表示较有把握的推测,意为“准是,一定”,后面接动词原形,表示对现在的推测。如:
—I've had n sleep fr 48 hurs.我已经48小时没睡觉了。—Yu must be exhausted.你一定筋疲力尽了。
(2)may用在肯定句中,表示对现在把握不大的推测,意为“也许,可能”。如:

(3)culd,might也可表示推测,常用在过去时中;但在某些场合下,为了使语气更委婉,常用culd,might代替can,may。如:

定语从句
1.定语从句的定义
在复合句中,修饰某一名词或代词的从句叫定语从句。被修饰的名词或代词叫先行词。从句放在被修饰词(即先行词)之后,由关系代词或关系副词引导。
2.定语从句的引导词
定语从句的引导词可分为关系代词(that,which,wh/whm/whse)和关系副词(where,when,why等)。我们先就关系代词作重点讲解。
3.关系代词的作用
关系代词wh,whm,whse,which,that在定语从句中的作用见下表:
(1)wh指人,在定语从句中作主语。如:

【注意】当关系代词在从句中作主语时,从句的谓语动词要与先行词保持主谓一致。如:

suppse作动词,意为“猜想,设想,认为,假设”,其常见用法如下:
1.be suppsed t d sth.意为“应该做某事;被期望做某事”,多用来表示劝告、建议、义务、责任等,相当于shuld d sth.。be suppsed t d sth.的时态、人称和数等的变化都体现在be动词上,其中t是动词不定式符号,后面接动词原形。如:
Yu are suppsed t finish yur hmewrk n time.你应该按时完成作业。
Animals are ur friends and we are suppsed t prtect them.动物是我们的朋友,我们应该保护它们。
Yu're suppsed t g t wrk by bus.你应该乘公共汽车去上班。
2.be suppsed t d sth.的否定形式是be nt suppsed t d sth.,相当于shuld nt d sth.或be nt allwed t d sth.意为“不应该做某事,不准做某事”。如:

【拓展】(1)suppse作动词时,还有“猜想”的意思,suppse sb.t d sth.意为“猜想某人去做某事”。如:

(2)suppse后面也可接that从句,从句的否定要前移到主句,类似的词还有think,believe等。如:
