Atkinsn was brn in Newcastle, England and was educated at Newcastle University and Oxfrd. While at Oxfrd, he met the writer Richard Curtis, wh was studying there t, and they became friends. China’s TikTk, which has taken the wrld by strm, is wrking its magic in its hme natin, t.
The Chinese versin f TikTk, called Duyin, has amassed (累积) 400 millin daily active users, parent cmpany Byte Dance (字节跳动) revealed in its annual reprt this week. This is an impressive grwth fr the addictive vide app, which had 250 millin daily active users in January last year.
The reprt, which describes users’ behavir and trends, shws the cultural difference between China and the US, said Katherine Wu, an investr at New Yrk-based firm Ntatin Capital.
