My husband Wes and I and ur tw dgs have spent several years living in an RV (野营车) — calling it hme and driving it all arund the United States.
Wes and I had just sld ur huse utside f St. Luis, Missuri and mved t a twn in Clrad. Thugh we enjyed ur new state, we were traveling back hme fr visits ften. S at first the RV was intended fr traveling in cmfrt: We culd save mney n htels, travel at a mre relaxed pace, avid packing ( 打 包 行 李) and unpacking, and be able t take ur dgs with us. We bught the first RV in July 2015 and by September f that year we were already cnsidering living in it full time. Wes and I lve traveling and being “lcatin independent,” and ur jbs allw us t wrk frm anywhere. At first it did seem strange t live n the rad, but nce we fficially made the decisin, in February 2016, we never lked back.
I abslutely lve living in an RV, s my list f “advantages” is lng. I lve being able t park my hme right next t the best biking trails ( 小 路), change the view frm the windws, fllw the gd weather, and explre unusual destinatins (目的地).
The biggest “disadvantage” is the planning that's necessary. Yu d have t plan ahead where yu are ging t park because smetimes places are full. As a full-time traveler, yu are ften planning, mving, and trying new things. S nce yu arrive smewhere, it's nice t stay a while and just sit still. That's why I suggest that RVers park their RV every nce in a while, r mve a little slwer.

Paul Farmer was brn in Western Massachusetts, the secnd f six children. When he was seven, his father mved the family t Birmingham, Alabama, and five years later, t Brksville, Flrida. At Duke, he discvered the writings f Rudlf Virchw, the 19th-century German scientist wh pineered the practice f public health medicine. Paul's attentin als turned t the lcal migrant labr ( 流 动 劳 工) camps, where a friend frm Belgium, Julianna De Wlf, was wrking t imprve the living cnditins f the labrers. Thrugh Julianna he came t knw many Haitian migrants. He was attracted by their stries and began t learn everything he culd abut Haiti, studying the Crele language and interviewing migrant wrkers.
After graduatin, he traveled t Haiti, where he planned t spend a year wrking in public health clinics (诊所). Frm the capital f Prt au Prince, he visited many village cmmunities. The number f dctrs, nurses and public health wrkers was far frm meeting lcals' needs and very few rganizatins prvided basic medical training. In the cmpany f a Haitian humanitarian (人道主义者), Fritz Lafntant, Farmer traveled t the island's central area, where Lafntant had set up a small clinic in the twn f Mirabelais.
