The mites, which are reddish-brwn and abut the size f a sesame (芝麻) seed, can spread frm bee t bee and thrugh beekeeping equipment. If left untreated, the mites culd kill an entire clny f hney bees, the gvernment has said.
It's nt easy t cntrl the mite. One f the biggest challenges in the current cntrl effrt is figuring ut where infected (感染的) hives are and mapping their spread in a vast area, accrding t Danny Le Feuvre, the acting head f the Australian Hney Bee Industry Cuncil. In Octber, Oxfrd English Dictinary(OED) released an update n its language n climate change and envirnmental sustainability.
