    Mre than 80% f after-schl academic tutring (学业辅导) rganizatins have clsed dwn r turned t ther fields f business as a result f nging effrts t reduce the excessive (过多的) academic burden n primary and middle schl students, the Ministry f Educatin said n Tuesday.
    Great prgress has been made in cntrlling the after-schl tutring market and the number f academic tutring rganizatins has been reduced — the number nline academic tutring rganizatins has been cut by 84.1%, and the number f ffline nes by 83.8%, which means students nw have mre chances t enjy their after-schl life.
    Lyu Yugang, directr f the Ministry f Educatin’s department f basic educatin, said almst all primary and middle schls nw ffer varius after-schl activities n weekdays t meet students’ needs fr all-rund develpment.
    A survey by the ministry fund that 92.7% f the schls have pened after-schl arts and sprts activity classes, 88.3% ffer reading as an after-schl activity, and 87.3% are cnducting interest grups and clubs, he said.
    The number f students taking part in after-schl activities has increased frm 49% last term t 92% this term, Lyu said, adding that mre than 3 millin students tk part in the day care service prvided by 210,000 schls during the summer vacatin. Mre than 99% f students have made hmewrk management rules and Mre than 90% f schls can finish their written hmewrk in the set time, up frm 46% befre the cenrtal guideline was intrduced.
