Just this mrning, my 11-year-ld sn shared with me a “really sad dream”. Keep in mind that this is frm a by wh watches very little war news, wh rarely hears his parents talk f war, wh has n relatives persnally invlved in the war. The dream went smething like this:

Besides the emtinal pwer f the distant war expressing itself in my sn’s life, what impressed me abut his dream was that there were gd peple fighting n bth sides. Is that an 11-year-ld’s myth, r culd it really be true? I affirmed (肯定) his cncern fr all the peple directly invlved in the war, all f which was pretty much in line with what the experts advise.
My sn desn’t get much news expsure frm televisin, vastly preferring kid entertainment when he has a chice. And that’s. just as well. In fact, limiting children’s media expsure t war is ne f the key suggestins the experts make.
Hwever, there are questins and cncerns. Fr weeks, my sn has been praying daily that we will nt g t war. Nw he prays the war will end sn, and that peple will nt get hurt r killed. A few days ag, he viced the almst casual questin, “Will the war cme t Oklahma?” I answered n, and we agreed that we are frtunate t be far frm the war. But still, that’s hardly the same as living with a daily persnal fear r expectatin f war reaching yur hme.
Tnight I kissed my by gdnight and put him t bed, as again he prayed that Gd wuld help the war t end sn. I wnder hw many mre nights he will have t say that prayer…

What nce was a blank wall was transfrmed int tw beautiful French drs___9___ut t a wheelchair accessible ramp (斜坡) and an updated prch.
25.答案:A
根据后文 t a wheelchair accessible ramp (斜坡) and an updated prch可以知道这两扇门通往一个轮椅可通行的坡道和一个经过翻修的门廊。故选A项。
26.答案:A
A. persnally亲自;B. riginally原始;C. ccasinally偶尔地;D. directly直接地。根据后文 neighbrs___11___their helping hands t yard wrk. 故选A项。
27.答案:C

A. treat对待;B. invite邀请;C. thank感谢;D. surprise使惊讶。
A. led带领;B. pushed推;C. supprted支持;D. pulled托,拉。
In ne week, the cmmunity came tgether t___8___it.
A. dream梦想;B. ability能力;C. wrld世界;D. chance机会。
32.答案:①t flee②Exhausted③which④a⑤was⑥have⑦spread/have been spreading⑧typically⑨what⑩farther/further
故填which。
故填was。
故填have spread/have been spreading
此处需要副词修饰形容词dry(干燥的)。
故填what。
故填farther/further。
故填as。
