by+ding sth.表示通过某种方式、方法或者凭借某种手段,既可以放在句首,也可以放在句尾。此时by短语用作状语,并且该结构常用来回答Hw引导的疑问句。

注意辨析:by/with/in:
by侧重于凭借某种手段、方式、或者交通工具等。

②宾语从句
结构:主句+引导词+宾语从句(宾语从句的语序必须是陈述语序)
宾语从句过"三关":语序,引导词,时态。
引导词
1)that
当由陈述句充当宾语从句时,用that引导,that无词义,不充当句子成分,在口语或非正式文体中常省略。
2)if/whether
当由一般疑问句充当宾语从句时,用if或whether引导,意为“是否”,不充当句子成分,但不能省略。
3)特殊疑问词
如果宾语从句原来是特殊疑问句,只需用原来的特殊疑问词引导
疑问代词:what, which, wh, whm, whse, whatever...有词义,充当句子成分(主语、宾语、表语和定语;一般充当主语或宾语,whse 充当定语)
疑问副词:where(地点), when(时间), hw(方式), why(原因)有词义充当句子成分(状语)
以上三类总结起来就是:
that: 不充当成分,无意义,可以省略;
If/whether: 不充当成分,有意义,不可省略;
疑问代词/副词: 充当成分,有意义,不可省略。

只能用whether,不能用if 引导的宾语从句
①当宾语从句中,紧接r nt 时,只用whether ,否则都可。

否定前移:
1)什么叫宾语从句的否定转移?
就是宾语从句表示否定时,将否定词 nt 转移到主句中
举例:“我认为他不会来” 该怎么说呢? 你可能会说:- I think he will nt cme.
但更地道的表述是:- I dn't think he will cme. 就是那种我不否定你,我只否定我自己的感觉。
2)什么时候进行否定转移呢?
进行否定转移通常要满足三个条件:
①主句的主语是第一人称 I 和 we
②主句的谓语动词是表示“认为”、“相信”、“期望” 等主观想法的词
常见:think、believe、suppse、expect、imagine、feel
③主句时态为一般现在时

被动语态
语法要点英语的被动语态相当于我们汉语中所说的“被字句”,句子主语是该句谓语动词的承受者而不是发出者。被动语态的基本公式:主语+be+dne。例如:The car was bught yesterday. 这辆车是昨天买的。(车是被买的)
英语中时态有16种,语态只分为主动和被动两种。但是,需要重视的是:
英语中的被动语态比汉语要多得多;从古汉语到白话文,汉语本身的被字句用得不多,甚至可以说,现代汉语中的被字句是“西风东渐”过程中受到欧化影响的结果,也就是翻译理论和实践中经常提到的“翻译腔”。所以,在做英汉互译的句子时,需要格外注意。
2)时态与语态的结合;英语的16种时态都可以有被动语态的表达,反映到句型上,就是把每个时态的基本句型(实质可以理解为公式)和被动语态的基本句型(即公式)结合起来。形象地比喻起来,就像玩拼插玩具一样,按照语法规则,把时态与被动语态的公式“拼”在一起,“嵌套”在一起。当然,前提是必须熟悉“公式”。初中阶段所学的八个基本时态和被动语态结合的句型如下:
一般现在时:am\is\are+dne(V. p.p)
一般将来时:will+be+dne(V. p.p)
一般过去时:was\were+dne(V. p.p)
现在进行时:am\is\are+being+dne(V. p.p)
现在完成时:have\has+been+dne(V. p.p)

另外还有一种情况是:情态动词+be+dne(V. p.p.)中考对被动语态的考察重点是前三个简单时态和情态动词与被动语态的连用。
提分策略:
判断主语是动作的执行者还是承受者在解题时,首先要判断主语和谓语动词的关系:如果主语是动作的发出者,则该句为主动句,不需要用被动语态;如果主语是动作的承受者,则该句为被动句。依据句子意思做出正确选择。
【例1】 I heard the prgram last mnth.

【解析】考查被动语态的用法。由句意“我听说上个月这个项目得到了检测”,判断句子的主语是动作的承受者,应使用被动语态;last mnth是一般过去时的时间状语,因此谓语动词要用一般过去时。故选A。

plant B. are planted C. planted D. were planted【解析】 主语“many trees”是被“种”,所以考查被动语态。根据“every year”判断用一般现在时。因此选B。

【解析】主语“the sprts meeting”是谓语动词hld的承受者,用被动语态。next mnth说明句子用一般将来时,其被动结构为will be held。故选C。
正确判断时态被动语态离不开时态。首先要牢记各种时态,掌握不同时态被动句的句型,这是基本功。做题时,先根据句子的时间状语或上下文,分析判断句子的时态,再根据主语与谓语动词关系判断是否需要用被动语态。

一、定义:
