Teach students hw t cperate and be gd at watching smething and lve ur lives.

1. The vcabulary and the sentence structures.
2. Learn the grammar: Present prgressive tense.

Step 1.Revisin
1. Greetings.
2. Revise the wrds and expressins in Unit 4.
Step 2.Presatatin: Lead in
1. D “Ask and answer” practice with the Ss.
2. The teacher asks the students t give mre verbs phrases and write them dwn n the blackbard.(shw many pictures t help the Ss.)Teach the new wrds and expressins.
3. Teach the Present Prgressive.
Intrductin: Talk abut the title f this unit. Shw sme pictures t intrduce the Present Prgressive tense.
T: What’s she/he ding?
Ss: She/He is v-ing (Help the Ss t answer the questins and shw the sentences)
2) Let the Ss t say what the Present Prgressive is.
(现在进行时表示现在正在进行或发生的动作, 它的表现形式为:Be Verbs + V-ing ….)
3). Tell the difference
Write dwn the V-ing frms by anther lines f g, watch, d, play and eat . Ask the Ss t have a lk and find the difference between them. Fr example: g and ging, watch and watching, d and ding, etc. Then ask the Ss t read them again and d mre exercises.
Step3.Activity 1a:Match
1. Help the Ss talk abut the pictures. The Ss read these V-ing wrds
after the teacher. Match the wrds and the activities. Check the answers.
2. Help the Ss d “Ask and answer” practice in pairs.
3. Ask sme Ss t d actins and let the class guess what he/she is ding.
Step4. Activity 1b & 1c: Listening and pair wrk.
1. Play the recrding fr the Ss t listen. Play again. Ss listen and write the number f the activity each persn is ding. Check the answers.
2. Pairwrk: Ask the Ss t d “Ask and answer” practice abut the picture in pairs. Sme pairs present their dialgues t the class.
Step 5.Activity 2a & 2b: Listening and Practice
1. Activity 2a:Talk abut the picture in 2b.Ask the Ss t read the questins in 2a. Then listen t the tape and and write the answers. Check the answers.
2. Activity 2b:Play the recrding again. Help the Ss put these questins and answers in rder t make a cnversatin. G thrugh the answers with the Ss.
Step 6 Pairwrk: Activity 2c
1. Talk abut the pictures in 2c. Ask Ss t read the sample cnversatin. Let Ss lk at the first grup f pictures, and ask them t guess what the peple are ding.
2. Then imitate the sample cnversatin, wrk in pairs. Sme pairs present their dialgues t the class.
3. A guessing game: Guess the activities accrding t the Ss’ actins.
Step 7 Grammar fcus
G thrugh the sentences with the Ss. Deal with sme language pints.
Step 8 Hmewrk:
1. Cpy the new wrds and recite.
2. Make up their wn dialgues.
