W: We design and build a 5-acre garden first. The kids, mainly aged frm 7 t 12, wrk in the garden with their hands in the dirt. Then they take what they’ve grwn t the kitchen and spend time cking and develping recipes. W: I’m Jane Brwn. I’m here tday t tell yu abut my career as a writer. I wrte my first nvel in 1987. I called it Sunset. Hwever, it didn’t cme ut until 1996, fur years after my first published nvel. After schl, I went t university where I studied law. Hwever, I never practiced law. I was lucky enugh t get a hliday jb n a lcal newspaper as a reprter, and I stayed there.
