When we arrived at the village, Tmbe’s mther, Kiak, saw us cming and started crying “ieee ieee”. We shk hands with all the villagers. Everyne seemed t be related t Tmbe.
    Tmbe’s father, Mukap, a man with a strng 27.j_____(下巴) and a 28.w________(满是皱纹的) 29.f_________(前额), led us t his huse, a lw, rund bamb 30.h___(小房子) with n windws, with a dr just big enugh t get thrugh, and with grass sticking ut f the rf—this shws it is a man’s huse. He then cvered the vegetables with banana leaves and left them t steam. It smelled delicius. We ate inside the hut sitting rund the fire. We see Chinese wrkers building rads in the Cng, a 3.p_____(港口城市) in Pakistan, railways in Panama, and an airprt in Sri Lanka. And we see Chinese miners, il wrkers, 4.a___________(农业的) experts, mechanics, and dctrs wrking in nearly every crner f the wrld. And sme peple may ask, “Is it wrth it? Why help peple 5.__________(外国的) when China has many areas that are still in need f develpment?”
    I had the same questins myself. But fr me, it was much mre 6.p________(个人的). Yu see, my mther is a medical dctr, and fr the last tw years, she has been wrking as a vlunteer 7.c___________(顾问) in Tanzania, Africa, as a part f a medical team sent by the Chinese 8.g_____________(政府).
    T be hnest, when my mther first left fr Africa, I was 9.u______(沮丧). My mther cked me dinner every night, and she tk gd care f me. But mre imprtantly, she was my best friend. One prject that my mther wrked n was helping t build a cardiac hspital. Prir t this, if a Tanzanian had a heart cnditin and needed surgery, they wuld have t g 17.a________(到国外). Since this was quite expensive, many peple went withut medical treatment and sme even died. Nw, nt nly are Tanzanians helped by the hspital, but peple in neighburing cuntries are helped as well. It has made a big difference t their lives. In additin, her team has given patients a new malaria treatment invented in China, and this has saved many lives.
