2. understand and use the imprtant phrases and sentence structures;
3. intrduce their wn hmes t the class.

Step 1 Retelling
T: Hell, bys and girls. Last class we talked abut three hmes frm different cuntries. They are Neil’s, Anna’s and Stephen’s hmes. Tday, let’s g n t learn mre abut the three hmes.
T: First, let’s g ver what we’ve learnt last class. Please lk at the pictures and the key wrds t tell smething abut the three hmes.
【设计意图:通过出示图片和关键词,帮助学生复习及记忆上一节课的内容,此处要求以第三人称复述,所以对学生的要求就不仅是机械背诵课文,而是锻炼学生对所记忆内容的实际运用能力。】

T: Where des Neil live? He lives in a twn 15 miles frm Lndn. In this sentence, we use “15 miles frm Lndn” t mdify “a twn”. “a distance + frm smeplace” r “a distance + away frm smeplace” means “距离某地……的”. Please cmplete this sentence, “I study in a schl ____________ (距离5公里远的) my hme.” Put this sentence int English, “我家离学校5公里远。”
T: What is special abut Neil’s huse? It has a beautiful garden. Neil lives in a big huse with a beautiful garden. Here “have” and “with” bth means “有” in Chinese, but “have” is a verb while “with” is a prepsitin. Please cmplete these tw sentences. “Stephen’s hme ____________ eight rms. Stephen lives in a large huse ____________ eight rms.” Translate this sentence, “Anna住在一套有着一个漂亮起居室的公寓里。”
T: Where des Anna live? She lives in a flat in the centre f Mscw. What des the phrase “in the centre f …” mean? D yu knw hw t say “在市中心”? We can say “in the centre f (the) city” r “in the city centre”. Please cmplete this sentence, “我就读于镇中心一所学校。I study in a schl ____________.” And what abut this sentence, “驾车去市中心可不是个好主意。It’s nt a gd idea ____________.” Please pay attentin t the prepsitin in this sentence.
T: Des Anna have her wn bedrm? N, she shares a bedrm with her sister. “share sth. with sb.” means “与某人分享某物”. Please cmplete the sentence. “—Oh, n, it’s raining nw. I have n umbrella with me. —Dn’t wrry. Yu can __________.”
T: Des Stephen have his wn bedrm? Stephen has his wn bedrm. Or, we can say “Stephen has a bedrm f his wn.” “ne’s wn + n.” means “ n. + f ne’s wn.” Put the Chinese int English, “你该学会有自己的想法。”.
T: Why des Stephen like the balcny best? Because he lves t sit there and lk ut at the beach and the sea. “lk ut at sth.” means “向外看某物”. Fr example, “The ld man likes ____________ (朝外看) the peple in the street.” What abut this sentence, “Tm, dn’t ____________ (朝外看) the windw in class.” Pay attentin t the difference between “lk ut f sth.” and “lk ut at sth.”.
