Step 1 Lead-in

T: Tday we will learn Task. Let’s have a lk at the learning aims.
2. Lk and discuss
T: There are many peple wh need ur help arund us. Lk at the pictures and discuss:
Wh needs help? What kind f help d they need? Hw can we help?
T: When smene is in truble, we shuld give him/her a helping hand. We can write a letter asking fr mre peple’s help.

Step 2 Pre-writing
1. Learn abut Peter’s plan
T: Peter wants t write a letter t ask thers t help a middle schl student. First he rganizes his ideas frm general t specific.
【设计意图:分析范文提纲,了解写信前可按总—分方式列提纲以及提纲所包含的主要内容。】
2. Read and learn the structure
T: Peter writes dwn his letter. Nw read his letter and find the structure: Greeting, Main bdy and Signature.
T: Take a clse lk at the main bdy. It has five paragraphs. Please underline the tpic sentence and think abut the main idea t each paragraph.

3. Read and underline the useful expressins
T: When writing ur wn letters, we can use sme f the expressins frm Peter’s letter.

4. Write sectin by sectin
Beginning: Intrduce the peple r grup in need briefly and directly.
Practice: Intrduce the peple in need.
Main bdy: (1) Intrduce the infrmatin abut the peple r grup in need clearly. State the truble in detail. Dn’t frget t tell the readers what kind f help they need.

【设计意图:通过指导信件三个部分的写作侧重点和写作方法,帮助学生了解如何写倡议信。设计四个写作小练习,一步一步指导学生写什么,怎么写,将写作难度降低,分解到各个片段练习中,为学生的整体写作铺设台阶。】
Step 3 While-writing

T: Wrk in grups f three and discuss yur letter frm three parts. These five questins can help yu.
【设计意图:组织学生围绕五个问题开展小组讨论,为后续写作确立提纲。】
3. Write the first draft
T: Write yur first draft nw. Be sure t have a clear rganizatin, practical ideas, specific wrds and rich expressins. Dn’t frget t write yur ideas frm general t specific. It’s helpful t have a lk at the utline f Peter’s letter. (Play the backgrund music)

Step 4 Pst- writing
1. Revise
T: Revise yur structure, main ideas and details first. D this alne by mving parts t right rder, cutting ut unnecessary parts and add new materials.
2. Edit
T: Read yur writing mre slwly and lk fr ther mistakes in grammar, clearness, spelling, punctuatin and capitalizatin. Fllw the steps and edit yur writing in pairs. Use a dictinary r a cmputer fr help.
3. Finish
T: Nw let’s make a final cpy. Rewrite the draft in yur best handwriting.
