“Smething must have gne wrng with him,” I thught t myself. Sure enugh, with a clser lk, I fund the by waving his hands desperately. I quickly dived int the water, swimming twards the by at full speed. By the time I reached him, he had sunk t the bttm f the pl, his head hanging dwn, which filled my heart with fright and cncern. I picked the by up and headed t the plside, keeping his head abve the water.
Having the by n the flr, I put my ear t his muth and my fingers at his neck. I culd tell he had n heartbeat and wasn’t breathing. Every secnd cunted! Withut hesitatin, I did first aid, giving him muth-t-muth breathing and ding CPR as trained. Other guards watching anxiusly, I carried n, sweating.
根据给出的第一段开头的 “Smething must have gne wrng with him,” I thught t myself. ”和第二段开头所给句子“Having the by n the flr, I put my ear t his muth and my fingers at his neck.” 根据给出的第二段开头的“Having the by n the flr, I put my ear t his muth and my fingers at his neck.” 最初时我选择“take the easy way ut”,另找了一份简单的工作。

Withut thinking, I ran dwn int the street, hlding my bdy bard(俯伏冲浪板) n the way and shuted at a stranger t g inside my huse and call the castguard. My neighbr Mises had heard the screaming as well and was als utside with his bdy bard, s tgether we rushed t the steps that led dwn t the sea.
Once we gt clser, we discvered the waves had pulled a by and a girl frm the pl and int the pen sea. I knew that the nearest bat wuld take at least 30 minutes t reach us. Waiting fr help wasn't a chice. I wasn't used t this srt f emergency--I’d never been trained as a lifeguard-but I didn't think twice abut trying t save them. I suppsed in a way I wanted t impress everyne: at 19, a deal like that can seem like a gd pprtunity t shw ff.
Mises and I dived int the water and it tk us 10 minutes t get t them. When we finally reached them, they were almst lifeless with nly their heads cming in and ut f the water. We culd tell they were still alive frm their small breaths but it was clear they wuldn't have been able t stay there much lnger. I held the by and pulled him ver my bard. Mises mved the girl nt his bard. We discussed pushing them back t the shre, but we were t far ut.
