Peple frm East Asia tend t have mre difficulties than thse frm Eurpe in distinguishing facial expressins and a new reprt published nline in Current Bilgy explains why.
Rachael Jack, University f Glasgw researcher, said that rather than scanning evenly (均匀的) acrss a face as Westerners d, Easterners fix their attentin n the eyes.

Easterners use the eyes mre and muth less.”

Frm here n, examining hw cultural factrs have diversified these basic scial skills will help ur understanding f human emtin. Otherwise, when it cmes t cmmunicating emtins acrss cultures, Easterners and Westerners will find themselves lst in translatin.
27.What des the discvery shw abut Westerners?
A.They pay equal attentin t the eyes and the muth.
B.They cnsider facial expressins universally reliable.
C.They bserve the eyes and the muth in different ways.
D.They have mre difficulty in recgnizing facial expressins.
28.What were the peple asked t d in the study?
A.T get their faces impressive.B.T make a face at each ther.
C.T classify sme face pictures.D.T bserve the researchers’ faces.
29.In cmpanin with Westerners, what are Easterners likely t d?
A.They d translatin mre successfully.B.They study the muth mre frequently.
C.They examine the eyes mre attentively.D.They read facial expressins mre crrectly.
30.What can be a suitable title fr the text?

Prnunciatin is imprtant fr yu t learn English well. Just remember: Practice makes perfect!
A.Ntice hw yur muth and lips mve.
B.Yu can even write the wrd dwn in parts.
C.Prnuncing them crrectly is all in the tngue!
D.Sme sunds can be hard t tell apart when yu’re listening.
