    Chevalier has abut 28,000 fllwers n the scial media platfrm wh are nw cheering him n and sharing their wn attempts t keep the heat ff. Since heating il and electric rates have increased ver the years, and are expected t cntinue edging up this winter, mre and mre peple participate in this year’s challenge.
    It isn’t necessary t have all that much heat, insists Mr. Tabr, 40, wh makes vides nline and lives in his ld huse built in the 1880s. "If yur pipes dn’t freeze and yu can sleep and wrk, that’s enugh — the rest is luxury(奢侈的享受)," he says. "Nrmal electrical equipment and lights give ff a surprising amunt f heat."
    When asked if he has the cnfidence t break the recrd this year, Chevalier says that the threshld(临界点) differs frm persn t persn. "I’m nt sure actually. Mine is bviusly very lw. But the frecast might nt be in my favr," he adds.

    In fact, the 80-year-ld nly revealed his genersity t his daughter when he was unable t get t the pharmacy himself. He asked his daughter t take a $100 bill t the drugstre at the first f the mnth.
    Nix cntinued t drp ff the mney t the pharmacy and didn’t tell anybdy abut what her dad was ding.
    With her brther Dug, Nix shared, "We had a really hard time whether t allw this stry ut t the public, but I feel like a small deed can turn int a big deed — r it can turn int smething that gives peple hpe. If it can encurage anyne t be a better persn and want t help thers — it’s wrth it."
