30-year-ld Mhammed Arif was wrking in a field in February last year. Then he saw an injured sarus crane (赤颈鹤) in need f help. It was bleeding frm ne leg, s he picked it up and tk it hme. "Nw, wherever I g,Bachcha fllws me. When I’m at wrk perating the harvester (收割机) and helping farmers cllect wheat r crn, the bird walks in the fields and then we bth have lunch tgether," Arif said.
During winter, ther sarus cranes visit Bachcha and they play tgether, but while they finally fly away,Bachcha always stays behind. Smetimes, when Arif leaves hme n his mtrcycle, the crane flies with him. "My wrk takes me t different lcatins and I enjy the stares that Bachcha and I get," Arif said.
Wildlife experts describe the relatinship between Bachcha and Arif as highly unusual — sarus cranes are knwn as the least scial crane animals. They can be very dangerus fr thse getting clse t them.
