Cancer is caused by gene mutatins (突变) that accumulate in cells ver time, yet lng-lived animals that have lts f cells, such as elephants and whales, hardly ever get it. Why?

First, the fact that elephants pssess multiple cpies lwers the chance f p53 n lnger wrking because f mutatins.
