1. a pair f 一双、一幅、一对(教材Page 17 1a)
a pair f用来表示"一对""一双""一副"等概念,常用于相同的两样东西成对出现或分为两个部分又彼此连接的物体名词前,该名词要用复数形式。
►The girl is wearing a new pair f shes tday. 这个女孩今天穿着一双新鞋。
【警示】pair f后跟名词作主语时,谓语动词的数的形式与pair的单复数形式保持一致。
►This pair f shes lks very nice. 这双鞋看上去很漂亮。
►Many pairs f shrts are in that bx. 那个箱子里有许多条短裤。

(1)本句是问路或问处所的常用句型,此处excuse me用以礼貌地引起他人的注意,也表示尊重对方。

②please在句式中可有可无,但please存在时,能使句子的语气更加委婉。

(1)g alng意为"沿着……向前走",多指沿街、道路、河边或堤坝等往前走,这是一个指路的常用
表达。表示"沿着……向前走",还可以用g dwn或walk alng/dwn。
G alng this rad, and yu’ll find the bank at the end. 沿着这条路一直走,在尽头你就能找到那家银行。
【拓展】常见的指路表达方式还有:
1. Walk alng/dwn this rad/street. 沿着这条路/街向前走。

g past意为"经过,路过",相当于pass。其中past为介词,意为"从……旁边过去"。

(2)past用作副词,意为"经过,过去"。

rush /rʌʃ/ v. & n.仓促;急促
(1)rush 可以作不及物动词,意为"迅速行动;急促"。

►Linda rushed t hand in her papers. 琳达仓促地交上了试卷。
(2)rush用作名词,意为"匆忙;繁忙"。常用短语:in a rush"仓促",rush hur"(交通)高峰期;拥挤时刻"。

suggest ding sth. 建议做某事
suggest + that引导的宾语从句 建议…… 此时宾语从句要用虚拟语气,谓语动词用(shuld)+ 动词原形
suggest的名词形式为suggestin,意为"建议;提议"。

②until/till用于肯定句中,句子或主句的谓语动词必须是延续性动词,表示这一动作或状态一直延续到until/till所表示的时间为止。这样的动词有live,wait,last,wrk等。
