    四、阅读理解
Many f us listen t music while we wrk, thinking that it will help us t cncentrate (集中) the task at hand. And in fact, recent research has fund that music can have beneficial effects (有益效果) n creativity. When it cmes t ther areas f perfrmance, hwever, the influence f backgrund music is mre cmplicated (复杂的).
The idea that listening t music when wrking is beneficial is prbably based n the s-called “Mzart effect”. Put simply, this is the finding that spatial rtatin (空间旋转) perfrnance is increased immediately after listening t the music f Mzart, cmpared t n sund at all.
Hw sund affects perfrmance has been the tpic f research fr ver 40 years, and is bserved thrugh a fact called the irrelevant sund effect (无关声音效应). T study irrelevant sund effect, vlunteers in the research are asked t cmplete a simple task which requires them t recall a series f numbers r letters in the exact rder in which they saw them. The tricky thing is being able t d this while ignring (忽视) any backgrund nise.
Tw key characteristics f the irrelevant sund effect are required fr its bservatin. First, the task must require the persn t use their rehearsal (复述) abilities; and secnd, the sund must include acustical (声学的) change. Where the sund des nt change much, the perfrmance f the task is much clser t that bserved in quiet cnditins.
The irrelevant sund effect itself cmes frm trying t deal with tw surces f rdered infrmatin at the same time — ne frm the task and ne frm the sund. Unfrtunately, nly the frmer is required t successfully perfrm the recall task, and the effrt in making sure that irrelevant rder infrmatin frm the sund is nt dealt with actually prevents this ability.
A similar cnflict is als seen when reading while in the presence f lyrical music. In this situatin, the tw surces f wrds — frm the task and the sund — are in cnflict. The cst is prer perfrmance f the task in the presence f music with lyrics.
What this all means is that whether having music playing in the backgrund helps r prevents perfrmance depends n the task and n the type f music, and nly understanding this relatinship will help peple maximize their prductivity levels.
    26.“Mzart effect” is mentined t ________.
A.explain hw music can relax pepleB.shw music can imprve perfrmance
C.advise peple t listen t Mzart musicD.stress Mzart music gains wide attentin
27.It can be inferred that vlunteers in the research ________.
A.have imprved their rehearsal abilityB.perfrm better in the quiet cnditins
C.ignre the backgrund nise successfullyD.prefer the music with great sund change
    28.Paragraph 6 is written t ________.
    A.supprt an ideaB.make a cmparisnC.intrduce a tpicD.describe a fact
29.What is the best title fr the passage?
A.Music shapes yur life.B.Music develps yur creativity.
C.Chse quiet music fr yur wrk.D.Des music make yu cncentrate?
