Presentation1. (Show some pictures and phrases on the screen and ask students to match them.)watch TV, clean, read a newspaper, listen to a CD, talk on the phone..., use the computer, make soup, wash the dishes, exercise2. Work on 1a. Ss read the activities and look at the pictures. Then match the activities with pictures. 3. Check the answers with the Ss. II Listening 1. T: What are Jenny, John, Dave and Mary doing? Now let’s listen to the tape, find out the right activities from 1a. 2. Play the recording for the Ss twice.3. Ss listen to the recording and write the numbers from 1a and complete the sentences. 1) Jenny is ________ TV. watching2) John is _________ the dishes. washing3) Dave and Mary are _______ to a CD. ListeningExplanation:现在进行时表示现在(说话瞬间)或现阶段正在进行或发生的动作,常与now, these days等时间状语连用。现在进行时的结构:am/ is/ are +v.-ing动词现在分词的变化规则:1. 一般情况下,直接在动词后加-ing。2. 以辅音字母加不发音的字母e结尾的,去e,再加-ing。3. 在重读闭音节里,以一个辅音字母结尾的,双写该辅音字母再加-ing。如:watch-watching clean-cleaning read-reading talk-talking listen-listening use-using make-making wash-washing exercise-exercising3.
