China launches 1st mainland-Maca cperatin space science satellite

On Sunday afternn, China successfully launched the Maca Sicence-1 space satellite fr scientific use , the first f its kind. The satellite was jintly develped by mainland and Maca agencies, Glbal Times learned frm China Natinal Space Administratin (CNSA.). The satellite was successfully launched int preset rbit via a Lng March-2C carrier rcket frm the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Nrthwest China at 4 pm n Sunday. This was the 474th flight missin f the Lng March carrier rcket series. A scientific experiment satellite named Lujia-2 was sent int space at the same time.
As the wrld's first lw-latitude gemagnetic(地磁的) field and space envirnment scientific detectin satellite, the Maca Sience-1, featuring the highest gemagnetic field detectin accuracy in China, will significantly imprve the level f the cuntry's space magnetic measurement technlgy, the CNSA said in a statement t the Glbal Times n Sunday. The prject was jintly initiated by the CNSA and the gvernment f China's Special Administrative Regin (SAR) f Maca and the detectin data will be shared by bth sides, the CNSA nted.
Such prject explred a new path fr cperatin between mainland and the Maca SAR, adding new impetus(动力) t the reginal develpment f the Guangdng-Hng Kng-Maca Greater Bay Area and the high-quality develpment f aerspace technlgy, the CNSA said.
After the satellite is launched int rbit, it will be able t functin as a gd cmplementary bservatin pint tgether with the Eurpean Swarm satellite and the Zhangheng-1 satellite, realize the measurement and research f the Earth's lw-latitude magnetic field and space envirnment changes and mnitr the tempral and spatial(空间的) changes f the magnetic field in the Suth Atlantic gemagnetic anmaly area.
Additinally, the satellite will prvide valuable bservatinal data fr human beings t study the evlutin f the gemagnetic field fr a lng time, t further prmte China's research prgress in the fields f lithspheric(岩石圈的) magnetic field, rigin f gemagnetic field, space weather frecast, gemagnetic navigatin, spacecraft space peratin safety and high-precisin satellites.
