本课是冀教版Bk 5的第五课,是一节童话故事阅读课。本课通过巨人对孩子态度的转变,说明“分享”的意义,“和大家一起分享的快乐才是真正的快乐”。
学情分析
到九年级,学生对英语语言的学习已经有了一定的基础,词汇量、阅读能力、写作能力都处于上升阶段,如何让学生在难度逐渐增加、词汇量逐渐增大的情况下,保持并提高英语学习的兴趣,是九年级英语教学的关键。
教学目标
语言知识与能力目标
1. 学习词汇:stretch, selfish, neck, peek;学习短语:peek up, knck dwn, crawl thrugh, reach up t, break ut in blssm, ever since then.
2. 锻炼找中心句和复述课文的能力。学会分角色表演课文。
情感态度与价值观
通过本课学习,让学生体会到“分享”的快乐,乐于分享,关爱他人,快乐自己。

1.T: Class, we’ve learned a lt abut fairy tales, such as The Ugly Duckling, Snw White and the Seven Dwarfs and The Giant. They left us an frgettable impressin in ur childhd. Let’s review The Giant(I) . Wh can retell it? Present a grup f fur pictures.
Actin chain .Ask the students t describe each picture.
2. Present anther tw pictures, let students discuss them and predict the ending f the stry.
3. Wrd guessing . Ask the students t try t guess the meanings f the new wrds. And explain hw they get the answer.
Check the preparatin f the new wrds.(I give the explanatin f each wrd and make students guess what the wrds are.)
1.回顾上节课的内容,为新课做铺垫。对故事结局的预测可以引起学生的兴趣,激发他们的学习热情。
2. 猜单词可以训练学生专注聆听和快速记忆单词的能力。

Ask the students t listen t the tape and judge whether the statements true f false.
2.Scanning
1) Ask the students t read the passage t match the main idea with each paragraph . Let the students underline the sentences n the bk. ( Individual wrk)
2) Read the lessn again and fill in the blanks. Tick the sentences mentined .The students are still needed t underline the sentences n the bk. (Team wrk)
3.Read alud. Let the students read alng the tape .Try t imitate the prnunciatin and intnatin.

Bk Cver and Synpsis: Create a bk cver fr The Giant. On the frnt f the bk cver draw a picture that represents the stry and its characters and n the back f the cver write a shrt summary f what the fairy tale is abut.
