Zhang Fuqing, a 95-year-ld war her, was awarded the “Natinal Outstanding CPC (Cmmunist Party f China) Member” in 2019.
Zhang served as a sldier with the Nrthwest Field Army, ne f the main frces f the Chinese Peple Liberatin. He was awarded the hnrary（荣誉的） title f “Cmbat Her.” In 1955, Zhang retired frm the army and began t devte his life t the pverty-stricken muntainus areas in Laifeng, a remte（偏僻的） cunty in central China’s Hubei prvince. Fr mre than 60 years, he deliberately kept his past achievements a secret, even frm his children and wrked hard fr the peple’s wellbeing.
Shen Jilan, China’s Lngest-serving Lawmaker
Shen Jilan has been a farmer fr her whle life. She is als a lifetime natinal lawmaker. She stands ut amng nearly 3,000 Natinal Peple’s Cngress (NPC) deputies as the nly ne t serve at all previus 12 NPCs since 1954. She started ut at 25. It was she wh prpsed the clause（提案） n “equal pay fr equal wrk between men and wmen”, which was written int the first Cnstitutin f the Peple’s Republic f China (PRC) in 1954.
Zhang Fuqing and Shen Jilan were awarded the Medals f the Republic in 2019. They fulfilled their bligatin（义务） and shwed their lyalty t the Party and the peple with decades f diligent（勤勉的） wrk.
