    第二节
“Oh, lk at the pirate ship!” she said. “Let’s g!” she said as she rushed t jin thers in line. I fllwed her, cnfident the ride wuld be uneventful. At the end, as the ship slwed dwn and my heart rate didn’t, I realized my ride-judging skills were unreliable. I remembered my cmmitment t push myself—t seek new adventures. S I fllwed Jenny and attempted three mre rides, each f which was thrilling and scaring. I felt prud that althugh it was a great challenge, I survived it.
On the way t the car, I sent my sn a vide f me n the first ride filmed by my husband. “That’s me in the middle!” I wrte. “Oh, n way,” he answered. He culdn’t believe that I did such a crazy thing with a little girl. I had t cnvince him with mre vides. Althugh my bdy was shaking, I felt excited. What I learned frm this experience is that, each time yu try smething fr the first time yu will grw—a little piece f the fear f the unknwn is remved and replaced with a sense f empwerment.
