    T:She is yung. She is tall and thin. Her hair is shrt and black. Her eyes are big. She has a small muth. She wears a yellw dress. She likes dancing very much. Wh is she?
    Ss:She is…
    The teacher gives an example t describe a student in the class. Students try t guess the right persn accrding t these sentences cntaining adjectives. The student wh says the right name can get ne scre. Then this student ges n giving descriptins abut a student in the class. The thers guess.
    4. Lead-in.
    Play a game:Sing a different tune.
    The teacher says a wrd, then students say the antnym f this wrd.

    T: lng Ss: shrt;

    Step 2: Presentatin
    1. Learn the wrds “taller, shrter”.②
    Chse a tall student. (But this student shuld be shrter than the teacher.) The teacher stands beside him/her and asks him/her, “Hw tall are yu?”
    S:I’m…metres.
    T: Oh, yu’re tall. But lk at me. I’m…metres. S I’m taller than yu. And yu’re shrter than me.
    The teacher uses bdy language t help students understand the wrds “taller, shrter”.
    The teacher shws the picture f “Let’s learn”.
    T:Lk at Zhang Peng and Jhn. Hw tall are they? Please watch the cartn and answer the questins:
    (1)Hw tall is Jhn?
    (2)Wh is taller,Jhn r Zhang Peng?
    Students watch the cartn f “Let’s learn” and answer the tw questins. Check the answers tgether.(出示课件)
    (Write dwn the wrds “tall—taller, shrt—shrter” n the blackbard. Write “-er” in red chalk.)

    Practice reading the new wrds in this way:If the teacher reads the wrd in a high vice,students shuld read it in a lw vice. If the teacher reads the wrd in a lw vice,students shuld read it in a high vice.
    2. Say a rap.
    T:I say “tall”. Yu say “taller”.
    T:Tall. Ss:Taller.
    T:Lng. Ss:Lnger.
    ...
    3. Let’s judge.
    The teacher says sme sentences. Students judge them. If the sentence is true, students sit still. If the sentence is wrng, students stand up and crrect it. The first ne wh stands up will get ne scre.

    Students sit still.
    T:I’m shrter than yu.
    The shrter students stand up. The first ne wh stands up says, “Yu’re taller than me./I’m shrter than yu.”
