Can yu guess what I did last weekend?

T: N, I didn’t. / Yes, I did. I read a bk last weekend. It’s Alice in Wnderland. I liked it very much. It was great.
Give students several chances t guess the answer. Then present a picture f “read a bk”. Lead students t learn the new wrd “read” and pay attentin t its frm and prnunciatin. In the simple present tense and the past tense, it lks the same, but prnunces in different ways.

(2) After students share their pinins, the teacher makes a brief summary. Then extend “last week” “last Mnday” with the help f the calendar.
(3) Present the key wrds and phrases f the past time n the PPT. (出示课件) Students read the wrds after the teacher and learn the ways f expressing the past time. The teacher can extend “tmrrw” and “the day after tmrrw” after students have a gd cmmand f the past time.

3. Learn the phrase “had a cld” and the wrd “slept”.

Ss: She read a bk and saw a film.

Ss: Yes, she did.
T: Hw d yu knw that?
Ss: Because when she read the bk and saw the film, she lked happy.

Ss: He felt sad/bad/sick/tired… (Present the wrds “feel—felt”.)
