Ⅱ.概要写作
In the ppular imaginatin, the rise f self-driving cars will mean greener cities, safer rads, and happier wrkers. With technlgy, speeding, braking, and reaccelerating—which are respnsible fr much f the gas burned n rads tday and the resulting air pllutin—wuld be a memry. But despite these pprtunities, there are certain reasns why driverless vehicles may fail t live up t sme f these expectatins,r at least take a little while lnger t achieve them.
First, truly autmated technlgy—at least the kind that requires n human invlvement—is rare in every sectr f the ecnmy, and there’s little reasn t think driving will be any different.Human drivers will still bear the final respnsibility fr the cars they’re riding in.
A related challenge—particularly fr driverless cars—is the cmplexity f the systems invlved.Fr example, sme cars tday require ver 100 millin lines f sftware cde(代码) t keep them running.Mre cde means mre functins, which,t sme degree, als means mre pprtunities fr sftware errrs.Driverless cars raise a challenge in this regard and pssibly cause mre pprtunities fr errrs— errrs that can lead t accidents.
Yet the greatest challenge facing driverless cars isn’t technlgical, but psychlgical.Surveys cnsistently reveal glbal skepticism abut the technlgy.Americans,fr example, remain mre wrried than excited by driverless cars.Over half f the American public say they wuld nt ride ne given the pprtunity. This shws a deep-seated lack f trust in the technlgy.Similar ideas have been expressed wrldwide.
What’s mre likely is that human drivers will cntinue applying sme cntrl ver their cars, regardless f hw autmated thse cars are.Sme may quarrel with this idea. But autmakers have lng been preparing fr it.Just ask Nissan,Waym, and Z,all f which are explring ways fr human drivers t retake cntrl f a car shuld autmatin fail.In ther wrds, driverless des nt—and will nt—mean humanless.
