    The study by University f Arizna researchers, published in the Creativity Research Jurnal, finds that creative peple are mre likely t fruitfully use idle (空闲的) time by letting ne idea lead t anther.
    “In psychlgy and neurscience, mst studies n human thughts either prmpt (提示) participants t think in a certain way r ask them t reprt n thughts they experienced, but less is knwn abut hw thughts naturally arise and unfld ver time in unprmpted cntexts,” said Jessica Andrews-Hanna, an assciate prfessr in the Department f Psychlgy and senir authr f the paper. “This is where ur study cmes in.”
    The researchers divided the study int tw parts. Fr the first experiment, the researchers asked each participant t sit alne in a rm fr 10 minutes withut any access t digital devices. In the absence f any particular prmpt, the participants were asked t vice their thughts alud in real time. The recrded files frm 81 participants were then transcribed (转录) and analyzed.
    The first experiment fund that creative peple were mre engaged in their thughts when they were left alne withut distractins, such as cell phnes and the Internet. “Creative peple rated themselves as being less bred, even ver thse 10 minutes.
