Grwing up in Wlverhamptn, I lved bserving insects. When I was five, my dg destryed an ants’ nest. Trying t make it up t them, I started making little huses, using wd pieces and leaves. Creating smells in virtual reality (VR) is a prblem that has prevented cnsumer VR devices frm ffering a full sensry experience in mst settings. Previus effrts t create smells in VR have invlved multiple wires, messy liquids, and heavy equipment that dn’t lend themselves t hme use.
T tackle the prblem. Dr. Yu Xinge at the City University f Hng Kng and Li Yuhang f Beihang University in Beijing develped tw wearable interfaces (接口).
