On the furth r fifth night,we had truble finding a htel with a vacancy. After driving in vain fr sme time,Mm suddenly gt a great idea:Why didn’t we find a huse with a likely-lking backyard and ask if we culd set up a tent there? David and I became nervus.
Then Mac heard quick and lud breathing behind saw instantly that it wasn’t a dg at all,but a wlf, quickly catching up with him.Mac’s heart fired the spray at the wlf.A bright red clud envelped the animal, and t Mac’s relief,it fell back, shaking its head. But a minute it...,tearing pen his tent bag.He fired at the wlf a secnd time, and again,it fell back...
The car abruptly stpped in frnt f him.“Get int the car.” Paul shuted at Mac.Mac jumped ff the bike and slid int the car withut delay as the wlf was just tw steps away and was abut t tear Mac int pieces. What a narrw escape!
【例如】(原文见2016·浙江10月)But n mre helicpters came and it was getting dark again.Jane was s tired, hungry, and extremely frightened. She thught t herself,“If nly I had nt quarrelled with Tm.Where is Tm? He must have made the emergency call. What I need is enugh curage. If I cntinue my spirits tmrrw,I will be likely t guide the helicpter.” Lying beside the stream, she fell asleep very sn.Suddenly, she heard the shuts f tigers, which made her scared t death. After she held her breath fr a few minutes, everything was quiet again. In the terrible darkness, she slept again.

He laughed and pinted at sme harmless little fish. “Only small fish.” Max decided t wait it ut n the dck that day, but he was actually swimming in the lake befre the end f the camp! Seeing him swimming happily in the lake, I was relieved and relaxed. In the meantime, I was lst in my thught: Nearly everyne I’ve met is afraid f smething and hw t get ver it means a lt.
In my experience, laughing a little abut the thing that scares yu can make it easier t talk abut it. If yu’re ready t mve frward, facing yur fear bravely is the first step t take.
