Hwever, PFAS can remain in the bdy fr many years and cncentratins can build up ver time.(它们中的PFAS浓度很低,请记住,大多数人往往只是偶尔使用吸管,给人类健康带来的风险有限。
30. A。根据划线单词后面的句子“Ptential surces f cntaminatin include the sil the plant-based materials were grwn in and the water used in the prductin prcess. 故选A。
31. D。根据第一段最后三句话“The straws are made frm five materials — paper, bamb, glass, stainless steel and plastic. PFAS were fund in the majrity f the straws tested and were mst cmmn in thse made frm paper and bamb. They were nt nly fund in steel straws tested.(吸管由五种材料制成——纸张、竹子、玻璃、不锈钢和塑料。
Passage D
32. A.根据第一段“The U. S. is in the midst f a “lneliness epidemic”. Fr a lt f peple, the feeling is even mre nticeable during the hlidays. In additin t the emtinal impact f chrnic lneliness, it has sme dramatic health cnsequences: increased risk f heart disease and strke, infectins, cancer, even death.(美国正处于‘孤独流行病’之中。对很多人来说,这种感觉在假期里更加明显。长期孤独除了会对情绪造成影响外,还会对健康造成严重影响:增加患心脏病和中风、感染、癌症甚至死亡的风险。)”可知,除了长期孤独的情绪影响外,“孤独流行病”还会带来一些严重的健康后果:增加患心脏病和中风、感染、癌症甚至死亡的风险;
故选A。
33. C.根据第三段中的“Elisa Baek, a scial neurscientist at the University f Suthern Califrnia, c-authred a study that lked at whether lnely peple perceive the wrld differently than nn-lnely peple, specifically amng cllege freshmen.(南加州大学的社会神经科学家Elisa Baek与人合著了一项研究,研究孤独的人看待世界的方式是否与不孤独的人不同,尤其是在大学新生中。)”可知,Baek的研究探究了孤独群体是否与非孤独群体看待世界的方式有所不同;结合第三段中的“Baek fund that while nn-lnely peple were all similar in their neural respnses, lnely peple had respnses that were really different — nt just frm the nn-lnely grup, but als frm each ther.
34. B.根据第四段中的“The vides ranged frm dramatic and cmedic clips t instructinal demnstratins in rder t reprduce experiences participants might have in daily life.(这些视频内容从戏剧和喜剧片段到教学演示,旨在重现参与者在日常生活中可能有的经历。)”
35. D.根据最后一段中的“Trying t cnnect mre deeply with ne r tw r three ther peple may be mre imprtant than t try t get t knw everybdy and being n gd terms with everybdy. It desn’t have t be smene wh is like-minded. It’s mre like: Hw can we get n the same page with peple wh we might nt start ff n the same page with, but that might frm deeper cnnectins afterwards?” she adds.
36.G 根据文章第一段“Hwever, d they really wrk?”
38.F 根据文章第三段提到的“If nt, ur brain center respnds by telling ur bdy t avid the situatin causing us anxiety.” If the task is easy t handle, we can d it as sn as pssible.
39.D 文章第四段“That's because we live in a busy wrld where tasks will rll yur way.”
