During 1907-1909, British explrer Ernest Shackletn explred Antarctica n ft. In 1911, tw explrers — a British man named Sctt and a Nrwegian named Amundsen — raced 1,400 kilmetres t the Suth Ple (南极). Amundsen arrived first.
Animals and birds
There aren't any large animals in Antarctica. Plar bears live at the Nrth Ple. But there are a lt f penguins and seabirds. Every spring there are ver 100 millin seabirds in Antarctica.

Orangutans are nature lvers. They like hanging ut in the tree.They spend 95% f their time up there in the tree. They sleep and eat in their nests(巢).The nests are big enugh fr even a 10-year-ld kid t play in.

Pigs may nt lk s cute when they find mud(泥) hles. They like playing in the mud — it is like their natural playgrund. And when it is ht, they stay in the mud t cl themselves. They dn't care hw dirty they get.

Sea turtle eggs are like ping-png balls. After baby turtles break ut f the eggs, they get themselves ut f the sand and hurry t leave the beach fr the sea.They swim fr 24 hurs in the sea t stay away frm danger.
