It was ging t be my first day at Rainbw Middle Schl. Everyne else was cming back frm winter hliday, but I was ging t be new in this schl.
After getting ut f my mther’s car, I lked arund and nticed that kids were gathering arund in the hallways with their friends, whispering and giggling. Nt knwing anyne and having nwhere t g, I decided t just wait utside until the bell rang.
I was standing utside Mrs Everett’s classrm reading a nvel named Oliver Twist, when I glanced back t find smene lking ver my shulder.“Are yu new here? Anyway, I abslutely lve the nvel! It’s ne f my favurite nvels. By the way, I’m Macy!” the girl said.
I was abut t answer when the bell cut me ff. Shyly, I entered the classrm t find Mrs Everett smiling and she led me t a seat. Once everyne came in and sat dwn, Mrs Everett called me up t the frnt and intrduced me t the class. As I scanned their faces, I nticed that they lked bred and didn’t seem t care abut me. I returned t my seat and listened t the teacher fr the rest f the class.
The lunch bell rang and I gt ut f the classrm, checking my backpack fr my lunch. Scanning the lunch tables, I was nervusly wndering where I shuld sit when I saw Macy appraching me.“Hey, if yu want, yu can cme and sit with us.” Macy ffered as she pinted t a pink table near the classrms. Feeling happy, I glanced ver where she was pinting and fllwed her ver. Suddenly, my shelace untied at that mment. Then I kncked int Macy and drpped my lunchbx. I said srry and picked up my lunchbx. With my head lw, I was afraid the ther girls at the table wuld laugh at me.
T my surprise, they started cmfrting me.








After schl, I waited fr my mther t pick me up at the schl gate.

Ⅰ.Learning A New Skill
This summer, I decided t learn phtgraphy, and it turned ut t be an amazing experience.
Having researched different cameras and techniques, I enrlled in an nline curse t learn the basics f cmpsitin and lighting. Challenging as it was at first, with practice and determinatin, I made prgress gradually. During the learning prcess, I encuntered difficulties like understanding manual settings and capturing the perfect sht. Hwever, instead f giving up, I sught guidance frm experienced phtgraphers wh helped me vercme the challenges.
Learning phtgraphy has allwed me nt nly t see the wrld frm a different perspective, but als t appreciate the beauty in everyday life.
Ⅱ. T my surprise, they started cmfrting me. Sme f them came up t me and asked if I was OK. One even kindly ffered me her lunch. At that mment, I realised that I really had had a misunderstanding f them. At first, I had thught they didn’t care abut me. Hwever, they gt alng well with me. We had a really happy time having ur lunch tgether.
After schl, I waited fr my mther t pick me up at the schl gate. My new classmates all greeted me when they passed me. Macy stpped and said she’d like t make friends with me. I agreed happily, and we talked much and surprisingly fund we lived in the same cmmunity. When my mther arrived, we tw started ur jurney hme, and we’ve been ging hme tgether every day since then.
