二、教材地位作用
科普版英语七年级上册课本内容紧密联系学生的实际生活,设计生动活泼,每个sectin里的A、B部分都以对话形式出现,既提高了学生的学习兴趣和学习动机,又培养了学生的听说能力。而C、D部分则以阅读训练和写作为主,提高了学生的英语理解能力和语言运用能力。本节课Sectin D从阅读中提炼出写作,逐步递进,让学生更容易接受。
三、学情调查分析
1. 学生是初一年级学生,活泼好动,学习积极性高。
2. 他们的语言表达能力较好,对于本课时关于描述人物的词汇量较为丰富,但有眼高手低的缺点,书写能力较弱。

Befre class:
1. Review the first perids and fill in the blanks in Grammar.
2. Read the sentences alud in Functins.
3. Preview the passage n page 41and translate the phrases int English n study paper.
In class:
Step 1. Review the clr wrds in the first perids and read tgether.
Step 2. Describe the little girl with the clr wrds. Then practice mre by describing the minins. During this time, pay attentin t the use f“same”. And help students knw abut the new sentence“Isn’t she cute?” and the new wrds : next t and cl.
Step 3. Listening.
1.Listen t the cnversatins and match the names with the children in the picture. (remind student s t pay attentin t the clr wrds.)
2.Listen again and fill in the blanks. Check answers and read tgether.
Step 4. Grupwrk.
After listening, g n practicing mre abut describing a persn in grups.
Each grup chse a number and will find a persn behind it. Then describe the persn like this:
Eg: S1:What des she lk like?
S2:She is tall.
S3:She has big eyes.
S4:She is in a white dress.
S5: …
S6:…
After the PK, find the best tw grups and give them gifts t encurage.
Step 5. Reading.
1.Intrduce Kangkang, the main character in this bk, t students and then ask them t read and learn abut his friend Michael. Fill in the chart n study paper. Then ask ne student t check the answers n the screen.
2.Paint the picture f Michael, let ne student d it n the screen, and check hw well students learn abut the passage.
3.Retell the passage tgether with the help f the picture and the key wrds in the chart.
Step 6. Writing.
1.Let students bserve the chart abut Michael and cnclude hw t intrduce a persn. Draw a mind map n the blackbard t help them understand better. After that, let students first fill in the chart abut ne f their friends and then write a passage t intrduce.
2.Shw a student’s passage and ask him r her t read. Teacher and ther students help crrect sme mistakes tgether.
3.Ask students t exchange their passages with partners and help crrect mistakes. Then ask ne t shw his r her wrk.
Step 7. Summary
Hw t describe a persn well.
Practice intrducing mre peple in ur lives. And lve them mre.
Step 8. Hmewrk.
1.Plish the passage and hand it in.
