An Unfrgettable Activity in High Schl
If there is ne event that my high schl heart will always remember, it is the annual Fire Safety Drill.
It was an rdinary weekday mrning until the resunding blare f the fire alarm eched thrugh the schl crridrs, signaling the start f the activity. Recalling what the firefighter instructed in previus lecture, we students all evacuating in an rderly manner, sticking t the safety principles. Students vlunteered and cperated with peers t deal with fires with prper tls like extinguisher and rescue pretend victims.
Feelings f respnsibility, teamwrk and selflessness flded thrughut this event. It prepared us fr unexpected situatins and symblized ur unity in crises. An unfrgettable lessn indeed!

    (Help frm the sidelines)
On ur way t the starting line, we were wndering if anybdy else wuld shw up despite the cancellatin. T ur surprise, there were still spectatrs alng the curse, ften neighbrs gathered utside f their huses handing ut bttles f water as they watched runncrs g by. With ht air cnstantly hitting us, bystanders passed me ne ice-cld spngc and a wet rag t cl my bdy dwn. Smewhere arund half f the rute, I was als ffered a handful f range slices and a banana frm a stranger n the side f the rad but I plitely declined. Their inspiratin and kindness were what kept me running all the way frward.
(N finish line, but still a victry)
The last 8 kilmeters f the Twin Cities Marathn rute are largely uphill. By that pint in the race, my thighs felt like jell and my leg muscles were rubber bands. The finish line sat at the bttm f the hill. N finish banner this time, I culd still see dzens f supprters cheering runners hme. I kept glancing at my Apple Watch, cunting dwn the meters until it ticked t “42.2” kilmeters. I called ut "I' m dne" t Luisa, wh had been delivering much-needed encuragement alng the way. I let ut a dry sb (r tw) and gave hugs t peple arund. Despite the race getting canceled, it felt just like a real victry.

But the cverage f team sprts is at the heart f it, anything abut make-up r fashin is just secndary t that.
