Skijring is a winter sprt that celebrates the cmbinatin (结合) f cmpetitin and ski culture in the U. S. Muntain West. Hrses—and smetimes dgs, snwmbiles and even cars—pull skiers by rpe at speeds as high as 64 kilmeters per hur. Skiers can g ver jumps as high as 2.4 meters.

Infrmatin frm this year’s IQAir Wrld Air Quality Reprt shws nly seven cuntries met the Wrld Health Organizatin’s (WHO) pllutin recmmendatins in 2023.
The reprt said the five cuntries with what it called the lwest air quality had particle (微粒) levels at least nine times higher than what the WHO recmmends. Three Suth Asian cuntries—Bangladesh, Pakistan and India—had the wrld’s lwest air quality.
The infrmatin cmes frm the Swiss cmpany IOAir, which makes air quality-related prducts. The reprt used measurements frm ver 30,000 statins acrss 134 cuntries.
IOAir uses the WHO’s standard f PM2.5 t measure the size f breathable pllutant particles in the air. The PM2.5 measurement means the particles are 2.5 micrns r less in diameter (直径). The diameter f human hair, fr example, is abut 30 times larger than a particle f 2. 5 micrns.
In Bangladesh, the cncentratin(浓度) f PM2.5 particles reached 19.9 micrgrams per cubic meter in 2023. In Pakistan, the number was 73.7. India’s level was 54.4. The WHO recmmends a reading f n mre than five micrgrams.
The nly cuntries that met the WHO’s pllutin recmmendatins were Australia, Estnia, Finland, Grenada, Iceland, Mauritius and New Zealand.
Of the 134 cuntries and regins measured, 124 had higher levels than what was called fr in the WHO’s pllutin strategies. Bth Bangladesh and India’s air quality diminished in 2023. In 2022, India was eighth and Bangladesh was fifth.
In India, New Delhi’s measurement f 92.7 micrgrams made it the mst-plluted capital city. Three cuntries that were n the list in 2022 were remved in 2023 because f prblems in cllecting infrmatin. They were Chad, Iran and Sudan. Chad was the wrld’s mst plluted cuntry the year befre.

Infrmatin frm this year’s IQAir Wrld Air Quality Reprt shws nly seven cuntries met the Wrld Health Organizatin’s (WHO) pllutin recmmendatins in 2023.
The reprt said the five cuntries with what it called the lwest air quality had particle (微粒) levels at least nine times higher than what the WHO recmmends. Three Suth Asian cuntries—Bangladesh, Pakistan and India—had the wrld’s lwest air quality.
The infrmatin cmes frm the Swiss cmpany IOAir, which makes air quality-related prducts. The reprt used measurements frm ver 30,000 statins acrss 134 cuntries.
IOAir uses the WHO’s standard f PM2.5 t measure the size f breathable pllutant particles in the air. The PM2.5 measurement means the particles are 2.5 micrns r less in diameter (直径). The diameter f human hair, fr example, is abut 30 times larger than a particle f 2. 5 micrns.
In Bangladesh, the cncentratin(浓度) f PM2.5 particles reached 19.9 micrgrams per cubic meter in 2023. In Pakistan, the number was 73.7. India’s level was 54.4. The WHO recmmends a reading f n mre than five micrgrams.
The nly cuntries that met the WHO’s pllutin recmmendatins were Australia, Estnia, Finland, Grenada, Iceland, Mauritius and New Zealand.
Of the 134 cuntries and regins measured, 124 had higher levels than what was called fr in the WHO’s pllutin strategies. Bth Bangladesh and India’s air quality diminished in 2023. In 2022, India was eighth and Bangladesh was fifth.
In India, New Delhi’s measurement f 92.7 micrgrams made it the mst-plluted capital city. Three cuntries that were n the list in 2022 were remved in 2023 because f prblems in cllecting infrmatin. They were Chad, Iran and Sudan. Chad was the wrld’s mst plluted cuntry the year befre.
