Yan Wenjia is a cllege graduate living in Manle village, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Prvince. Like Ma Liang with the Magic Brush, Yan changes his hmetwn int a famus place f interest. Hw des he make it?
Yan’s stry began in July 2015. When Yan returned t his hmetwn fr summer vacatin, he drew sme paintings n the walls f his huse. Passing villagers ften stpped and watched. Sme peple fund Yan’s wall paintings beautiful and asked him t paint fr them. Yan gladly agreed. At the same time, he fund that there were many ld walls in the village. S he decided t draw mre paintings n thse walls.
In June 2018, Yan decided t return hme after graduating frm an art schl in Hubei Prvince. “Ging t cllege was nt t leave my hmetwn but t cme back better prepared,” Yan said. Yan created beautiful wall paintings and grund paintings in every crner f the village, cvering abut 5,000 square meters.
