专题十 定语从句技巧一 根据从句所缺成分来确定关系词1.如果先行词指人,定语从句中缺少主语,限制性定语从句中用wh/that;非限制性定语从句中用wh。【示例1】 A new teacher ________ will teach yu German will cme here tmrrw.解析:考查定语从句。从结构上看,空处是关系代词,修饰先行词A new teacher,指人,并且在从句中作主语,所以要用wh。答案:wh
2.如果先行词指人,定语从句中缺少宾语,限制性定语从句中用wh/that/whm;非限制性定语从句中用whm。【示例2】 The man with __________ she was traveling was her byfriend.解析:从结构上看,空处是介词with的宾语,修饰先行词The man,指人,所以要用whm。答案:whm
3.如果先行词指物,定语从句中缺少主语或宾语,限制性定语从句中用which/that;非限制性定语从句中用which。【示例3】 The mvie Pmpeii came ut this February,________many peple think brings a tuching lve stry t the audience.解析:分析句子结构可知设空处引导定语从句。从句中的many peple think为插入语,将其删除可看出从句中缺少主语,并且从句为非限制性定语从句,先行词指物,故填which。答案:which
4.如果先行词指时间或地点,定语从句中缺少时间状语或地点状语,定语从句中用when/where; 如果从句中缺少的是主语或宾语,则用that/which。【示例4】 As the dark hrse, China's ftball team swept int the quarterfinals ________ it lst t hst cuntry Australia.解析:分析句子结构可知设空处引导定语从句。从句中不缺少主语和宾语,应用关系副词,而本题中先行词比较特殊,quarterfinals应视为地点对待,表示“在四分之一决赛赛场”,故填where。答案:where
5.不论先行词指人还是物,只要关系词在定语从句中作定语就用whse。【示例5】 My parents are the mst imprtant fr me, withut ________ supprt, I wuldn't have reached that far.解析:“withut ________ supprt... ”为“介词+关系代词”引导的非限制性定语从句。从句中不缺主语和宾语,先行词my parents与supprt之间存在所属关系,因此填whse。答案:whse
6.如果先行词指人,“介词+关系代词”引导的定语从句中的关系词用whm;如果先行词指物,“介词+关系代词”引导的定语从句中的关系词用which。【示例6】 Lucy invited many friends t dinner,sme f ________ her parents had never met befre.解析:此处为“不定代词+f+关系代词”引导的定语从句,设空处指代先行词many friends, 同时作介词f的宾语,故填whm。句意:露西邀请了很多朋友去吃饭,他们中的一些人露西的父母以前从没见过。答案:whm
技巧二 巧用固定结构选用关系词当题干中出现such,the same等或行为动词的被动语态时,就可考虑关系词as的固定结构,如,the ,as is knwn,as is expected。但还要注意看定语从句是否缺主语、宾语或表语,如果不缺这三种句子成分,则不用as。【示例7】 Thse huses are sld at such a lw price ________ peple expected.解析:本空应用关系词引导定语从句并在从句中作expected的宾语;空处所填词与前面的such构成固定结构,表示“像……那样的……”,因此这里用as引导定语从句。答案:as

1.that/which/不填 句意:孩子们在与电视中的人物的单向关系中花费的时间无疑会影响他们在现实生活中的人际关系。分析句子可知,空格处引导定语从句,先行词为the hurs,关系代词which或that引导从句,在从句中作spent的宾语,可省略。故填that/which/不填。2.where 句意:在这个2020年新型冠状病毒爆发后发生了很多变化的世界,我们很需要同情。分析句子,该空需要一个关系词引导定语从句修饰先行词this wrld,“在这个……的世界里”,定语从句中主语是changes,谓语动词take place不及物无被动。所以关系词代替先行词在从句中作地点状语,所以应填where。3.when 先行词days在定语从句中作时间状语,用关系副词when引导定语从句。故填when。
4.why 这是一个定语从句,先行词是tw reasns,在句中作原因状语,所以用why来引导。故填why。5.that 句意:他高兴地谈起了在学校让他非常感兴趣的那些人和书。定语从句缺少主语,应用关系代词;当定语从句先行词既有人又有物时,应用that引导。6.whse 定语从句,a classrm是先行词,the classrm's dr“教室的门”,故答案为whse。7.whm 先行词friends在非限制性定语从句中作介词f的宾语,用关系代词whm。8.As 句意为:正如现代小说的典型特征,剧情不是非常重要,重点在于角色对普通事件的反应。________ is typical f mdern nvels在此是非限制性定语从句,关系词代指主句全部内容,在从句中作主语,which引导的非限制性定语从句只能置于主句之后,所以应用关系代词As。
9.which 句意为:这家博物馆非常宽敞,为游客提供了一个欣赏艺术的舒适环境。分析句子结构可知,处引导非限制性定语从句,先行词是“The museum is very spacius”,且关系词在从句中作主语,应用which引导该从句。故填which。10.whse 句意为:你看过电影《战狼2》吗?它的男主角是吴京。分析句子结构可知,空处引导非限制性定语从句,先行词是the film Wlf Warrirs Ⅱ,关系词在从句中作定语,修饰“leading actr”,与“leading actr”之间是所属关系,应用whse引导该从句。故填whse。
