They gruped the nearly 50,000 participants int fur cmparative grups accrding t average steps per day. The lwest step grup averaged 3,500 steps; the secnd, 5,800; the third, 7,800; and the furth, 10,900 steps per day. Amng the three higher active grups, there was a 40—53% lwer risk f death, cmpared t the lwest step grup.

The researchers lked int randmized cntrlled trials that had reprted the effects f exercise interventins, lasting tw r mre weeks, n bld pressure between 1990 and February 2023. Frm a review f 270 trials with 15,827 participants, the researchers fund that amng HIIT (high intensity interval training), ismetric exercise, aerbic exercise, dynamic resistance training and a cmbinatin f the latter tw, ismetric exercise led t the greatest reductins in bld pressure.
