    Scientists in Denmark have been studying ver 1,000 jggers and nn­jggers fr 12 years. The death rates frm the sample grup indicate that peple wh jg at a mderate pace tw r three times a week fr less than tw and a half hurs in ttal are least likely t die. The best speed t jg at was fund t be abut 5 miles per hur. The research suggests that peple wh jg mre than three times a week r at higher speeds f ver 7 mph die at the same rate as nn­jggers. The scientists think that this is because strenuus exercise causes structural changes t the heart and arteries(动脉). Over time,this can cause serius injuries.
    Peter Schnhr,a researcher in Cpenhagen,said,“If yur gal is t decrease the risk f death and imprve life expectancy,jgging a few times a week at a mderate pace is a gd strategy. Anything mre is just unnecessary,and it may be harmful.”
