g beynd his surrundings and reach his destinatin.
The vlumes t feed Lincln's intellectual hunger did nt cme cheaply. The stry is ften recunted f the time he brrwed Parsn Weems's The Life f Gerge Washingtn frm Jsiah Crawfrd, a well-t-d farmer. Thrilled by this accunt f the first president's life, he tk the bk t his lft at night, where he read as lng as he culd stay awake, placing the bk n a makeshift shelf between the cabin lgs s he culd fetch it at daybreak. Handwritten ntes in class might seem utdated as digital technlgy invlves nearly every aspect f learning. But a steady stream f research suggests that cmpared with typing, taking ntes with pen and paper is still a better way t learn. And scientists are zering in n why.
In a recently published study, scientists fund that thse writing by hand had higher levels f electrical activity acrss many intercnnected brain regins. They added 256sensrs int a hairnet, which helped mnitr 36 students' brains as they wrte r typed wrds displayed n a screen. When students wrte by hand, the sensrs picked up widespread brain cnnectivity including visual regins, regins that receive and prcess sensry infrmatin, and the mtr crtex Typing, hwever, resulted in minimal activity in these brain regins.
Acrss many cntexts, studies have shwn that students appear t learn better when they're asked t prduce letters r ther visual items using their fingers and hands. The educatinal neurscientist Sphia Vinci-Bher says the recent study highlights the clear tie between mtr actin and cnceptual recgnitin: “As yu're drawing a letter r writing a wrd, yu're taking this perceptual (感知的) understanding f smething and using yur mtr system t create it. That creatin is then fed back int the visual system, where it's prcessed again—strengthening the cnnectin between an actin and the images r wrds assciated with it.”
The new findings dn't mean technlgy is always a disadvantage in the classrm.
Laptps, smartphnes, and ther such devices can be mre efficient fr writing essays and can ffer fairer access t educatinal resurces. But peple nw increasingly tend t “fflad” mental tasks t digital devices, such as by taking a phtgraph instead f cmmitting infrmatin t memry, says Yadurshana Sivashankar at the University f Waterl in Ontari. “If we're nt actively using these areas, then they are ging t wrsen ver time, whether it's memry r mtr skills.”
28. What is the functin f the sensrs in the recent study accrding t Paragraph 2?
A. T recrd brain activity. B. T activate brain waves.
C. T cnnect visual regins. D. T prcess sensry infrmatin.

C. Learning perfrmance relies n visual memry. D. Cncrete images cntributes t cmprehensin.
30. What des the underlined wrd “fflad” in Paragraph 4 mean?
A. Owe. B. Link. C. Shift. D. Bring.
31. Which f the fllwing can be the best title fr the text?

C. Typing vs handwriting: efficiency cunts D. Handwritten ntes: cnventinal but effective

Animal-like rbts, such as quadrupedal (四足的) rbt dgs, cntinue t be ppular. Hwever, Italian rbticist Barbara Mazzlai argues that the rbtics field has prved less keen t investigate anther categry f living things—plants. She wes this t a miscnceptin that plants are capable f neither mtin nr perceptin. “It's nt true at all,” she says.
Mazzlai and her team at the Biinspired Sft Rbtics Labratry recently intrduced “FilBt”, a rbt based n climbing plants, which is capable f grwing, attaching t supprts, and jurneying thrugh envirnments in respnse t external stimuli (刺激) .
T survive in frests, a climbing plant must grw ut f the sil and travel alng the grund searching a supprt t attach t. This requires a structure capable f bearing its wn weight. Once a supprt is lcated, thugh, the plant must switch strategy-securing itself arund the bject and then grwing twards light as quickly as pssible t utcmpete ther plants. T chse the best grwing angle, it uses infrmatin frm light and gravity receptrs distributed alng each sht.
FilBt imitates these behaviurs using sensrs n its main sht, which is als equipped with a spl (卷轴) f plastic and a heating element. By melting and frcing ut the plastic, it can 3D-print itself. Depending n brightness and directin, it changes the heat the plastic is expsed t—lwer temperatures result in a mre breakable bdy that increases in size mre rapidly, while higher temperatures make a strnger bdy that grw mre slwly.
The researchers fund that these functinalities enable FilBt t mve thrugh cmplex envirnments flexibly, making it suitable fr ptential applicatins including envirnmental mnitring in hard-t-reach lcatins r unstable disaster sites.
FilBt is nt the nly plant-like rbt the team is develping. Mazzlai hpes that ur rbts will mtivate ther rbticists t take clues frm plants. The plant kingdm is anther wrld, she says, with a cmpletely different apprach t the animal ne. “We can develp cmpletely new technlgies and artificial slutins, because it is s different.”
32. Why are rbticists less interested in plant-like rbts accrding t Barbara Mazzlai?
A. They are misled by sme new cncepts.
B. They underestimate the cmpetence f plants.
C. They see little ecnmic value in plant-like rbts.
D. They misunderstand the mtin f plant-like rbts.
33. What is the purpse f Paragraph 3?
A. T explain a mdel. B. T give an example.
C. T develp a frmula. D. T intrduce a rule.
34. Hw des FilBt cntrl its grwth speed accrding t Paragraph 4?
A. By setting the directin. B. By prducing the plastic.
C. By adjusting the brightness. D. By varying the temperature.
35. What is Mazzlai's expectatin f their plant-like rbts?
A. They will encurage research n plants. B. They will utperfrm animal-like rbts.
C. They will prvide universal artificial slutins. D. They will inspire innvative rbtic technlgies.

根据画线词所在句 “But peple nw increasingly tend t ‘fflad’ mental tasks t digital devices, such as by taking a phtgraph instead f cmmitting infrmatin t memry. . .
根据第一段中的 “She wes this t a miscnceptin that plants are capable f neither mtin nr perceptin.”
根据第四段中的 “it changes the heat the plastic is expsed t—lwer temperatures result in a mre breakable bdy that increases in size mre rapidly, while higher temperatures make a strnger bdy that grw mre slwly” 可知,FilBt机器人通过调节温度来控制自己的生长速度。
根据最后一段中的 “ur rbts will mtivate ther rbticists t take clues frm plants” 和 “We can develp cmpletely new technlgies and artificialslutins, because it is s different.”
后文中的“it”指代的是E项中的“this habit"。
41-45 ACCBA 46-50 BDCCA 51-55 DDBAB

But/Yet.
故填a。
故填have delayed.
a trip t the mvies意为“观影之旅”,所以填介词t。故填t。

In additin, I find it difficult t make my writing well-structured and cherent, which frustrates me a lt.
I'd appreciate it if yu culd give me sme practical suggestins n my prblems.
Lking frward t yur reply.

My heart weas crazy with panic. “Yu can't cut it dwn!” I cried. One f the men shk his head and said, “Cme dwn r I will call the plice.” What happened after that was a bit f a blur. I remembered the neighbrsgathering, and the plice cming. Then my father came racing up and climbed t where I was. I started crying and tried t get him t lk ut ver the rftps, but he wuldn't. When I was lcked up in my rm murning fr the lss f the tree, my father came in with a painting. He sat dwn, shwed me the painting, and there was my tree. And in the tree was a tiny girl lking int the distance. I saw mre than the tree and what being up in its branches meant t me.
